STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
Dear Members of the Scholarship Committee,
I am writing to express my sincere enthusiasm for the MKPAT ENIN EMOIMEE SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME which I strongly believe will propel me towards my academic and career aspirations. Since childhood, I have been passionate about construction and development, leading me to pursue Quantity surveying as my chosen field. I am especially eager to apply innovative construction techniques to address development needs in Mkpat Enin, my hometown, and am deeply committed to making a positive impact in this area. Unfortunately, my family has been facing significant financial challenges since my father developed kidney disease. The cost of his treatment has severely strained our resources, putting immense pressure on me, especially during my 200-level second semester, as I struggled to cover survival and academic expenses. Despite this, I have maintained a CGPA of 4.27, but I know that with the support of this scholarship, I could focus on my studies and work toward achieving a first-class distinction. My goal is to become the first first-class graduate of my department at the University of Uyo.
This scholarship’s requirement to submit progress reports is an added motivation for me, knowing that my academic journey is being monitored by esteemed officials. It inspires me to stay focused, continually striving for improvement. I am confident that, with your support, I can maximize my potential and achieve both academic and personal growth.
