STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
My name is Uduak Uko Okon, a second-year student in the Department of Environmental Education at the University of Calabar. I am from Asana Village, Ikpa Ikono 1 Clan, in Mkpat Enin LGA, Akwa Ibom State. Growing up in a rural community, I witnessed firsthand the impact of environmental degradation on our land, water, and health. This inspired my decision to study environmental education, with the goal of finding sustainable solutions to these challenges. Through my academic journey, I am developing the knowledge and skills needed to promote environmental awareness and conservation.
EMOIMEE scholarship would greatly alleviate the financial burden of my education, allowing me to focus on my studies and community outreach projects. It will empower me to further my research on environmental sustainability and contribute meaningfully to the development of my community and Akwa ibom state as a whole. I am committed to using this opportunity to make a lasting impact in environmental education.
