STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
Victoria, a final-year medical student, is highly dedicated to healthcare and demonstrates resilience and leadership. She has played key roles in the Nigerian Medical Students’ Association, such as Public Relations Officer and Capital Project Director, where she showed strong teamwork. Recently, she volunteered at the last Emoimee outreach in Mkpat Enin, showing her commitment to serving the community. She is currently working on a challenging research project; the prevalence and predictors of gestational diabetes mellitus in UUTH, which requires expensive OGTT tests for pregnant women attending antenatal. This project shows her drive to deepen medical knowledge. Awarding Victoria this scholarship would help her overcome financial challenges and support her ambition to make a positive impact in healthcare.
