STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
I am Emmanuel Dickson Douglas, a master’s in Computer Science student at the University of Uyo, from ndon ibotio in Ikpa Ibom Ward 4. I am applying for the EMOIMEE Trust Fund scholarship to support my academic pursuits and achieve my career goals in the field of technology.
Growing up in a community with limited access to technological resources, I developed a deep interest in computing and its potential to drive change. My studies have fueled my passion for developing innovative software solutions that can address real-world problems, particularly in underserved communities like mine. However, financial constraints pose a challenge to my ability to continue my education.
With EMOIMEE scholarship it will be easier for me as self sponsored student to alleviate my financial stress, allowing me to focus fully on my academic and personal development. It will empower me to contribute to the technological advancement of my community and beyond, using computer science to create impactful solutions.
